What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Solvere Technical Group?
The General Laborer shall complete general labor tasking within and around a marine industrial facility. Must be able to maintain the cleanliness of the facility and be available to assist shop technicians with various tasks on interagency small craft.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the shop environment is clean and safe
- Janitorial services as needed
- Shop and outdoor property maintenance
- Conduct periodic inventory of parts or supplies
- Wash work vehicles
- Parts pickups and drop-offs
- Non-Skid removal and installation
- Clean boats
- Assist shop technician with general support tasks as needed
- Other tasks as needed
Required and Desired Qualifications:
- Experience and Certification as a Forklift operator is desired
- Prior marine industrial environment experience is desired
- Clean driving record is required
Travel:
- 10% Local Travel for work related responsibilities
Security:
- Must pass a standard background check
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
- Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature.
- Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
Place of Performance:
- This task shall be performed in the Industrial Park Area in Virginia Beach, Virginia, at our boat warehouse and repair facility.
- Virginia Beach, VA 23462: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Schedule:
- 8 Hour Work shift Monday thru Friday
