What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marine Electronics Engineer - Senior position at Solvere Technical Group?
Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Senior Marine Electronics Engineer with proven experience to design, develop, test, and supervise the implementation of electronic equipment for shipboard use. Conduct analyses on centralized machinery control systems, interior and exterior communications, sensors, alarms, navigation, combat fire control, and other C5ISR related systems. Analyze and mitigate cybersecurity risks for installed systems and networks. Knowledge of remote sensing, sensor processing and information processing for electronics components and systems. Develop system documentation and ship specifications.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years documented experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information processing, navigation, and defense applications. 1 year of experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs required.
Preferred Experience:
- Additional certifications, such as PE License, PMP, DHS Systems Engineering Certification, or DHS Program Management Certifications, preferred.
Required Education:
- BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field of work.
Security Clearance:
- Must hold a Secret Clearance or higher.
- Must pass a background check.
Place of Performance:
- Will work "Onsite" 2-3 days per/week in Washington, DC, and remaining days remotely.
- Washington, DC: Reliably commute to or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Monday to Friday ("Onsite" 2-3 days per/week in Washington, DC, and remaining days remotely).
