Job Title : Pharmacy Technician
Location : Baltimore, MD VA Medical Center (VAMC) & Various Locations
Employer : Solvet, working in collaboration with the Baltimore VA Medical Center
Required : At least 2 years of experience in hospital (inpatient) pharmacy
Overview :
Solvet is seeking qualified Pharmacy Technicians to support the Baltimore VA Medical Center (VAMC) and its associated locations. These full-time positions offer an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare of veterans across various settings, including both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Technicians will work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide high-quality medication services.
HOURS :
Required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week per pharmacy technician with each shift being a minimum of 8-hours.(Sunday through Saturday, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays). This may include but is not limited to a 7-days on and 7- days off.

Key Responsibilities :
As a Pharmacy Technician, your duties will include, but are not limited to :
- Medication Preparation : Receive and process prescriptions from patients or physicians and prepare medications by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing as necessary.
- Inventory Management : Maintain patient profiles, prepare insurance claim forms, stock medications, and take inventory in various pharmacy settings.
- Inpatient and Outpatient Pharmacy : Prepare medications for inpatient use, including sterile products, and support outpatient pharmacy activities.
- Automation Support : Troubleshoot automated dispensing equipment (ADE) and other pharmacy technology platforms.
- Aseptic Technique : Perform sterile compounding of both routine products and hazardous materials, such as oncology agents.
- Regulatory Compliance : Dispense medication or sterile products following all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
