Job Title: Licensing Specialist – No C2C
Location: Deerfield, IL – Onsite 5 days a week
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay: $25-$30 per hour
Job Summary:
The License Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, supporting internal and external audits, managing license application processes, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies. This role plays a critical part in upholding operational compliance and ensuring business continuity across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance and Audit Management
- Apply company policies, procedures, and SOX-related compliance standards.
- Support both internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements concerning the application and renewal of business licenses across all business units.
Process Management
- Conduct thorough research on rules and regulations at the state, county, and local levels that affect licensing.
- Review and interpret jurisdiction-specific business practices to accurately complete required licensing applications.
- Prepare, process, and submit initial applications and renewals for pharmacy, DEA, business, and other operational licenses in a timely and accurate manner.
- Update and maintain internal tracking tools, including license management systems and checklists.
Client Relationship Management
- Collaborate with internal business units and corporate departments to understand licensing requirements.
- Work closely with external service providers to ensure timely and accurate license submissions.
- Interface with jurisdictional agencies to gather and clarify licensing information.
- Provide support to fellow License Specialists and escalate complex issues to the Team Lead or department manager when necessary.
- Participate in meetings to support assigned tasks and follow up on related inquiries.
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an office setting.
- Proven experience interpreting and processing business-related forms (e.g., mortgage documents, insurance forms).
- Strong customer service skills with a track record of maintaining quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal teams and external licensing agencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document formatting, editing, and basic functions (e.g., spell check, track changes, printing).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with pharmacy and DEA licensing procedures.
- Experience working in a regulated business environment or healthcare/pharmacy sector.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
