This contract to hire role as a Strategic Sourcing Sr Advisor in Chicago, IL will support IT category management around the identification, development, and execution of the sourcing and procurement process. Key areas of support for PSS will include needs analysis, sourcing options, decision support, negotiation support and contract oversight. Additional focus includes cost reduction strategies and overall support and research of category strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and management. This position will be responsible for leveraging market research and performing total cost analyses to support decision making.
Pay Rate : $60 per hour
Responsibilities :
- Lead efforts for a high-performing procurement team in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment, responsible for providing thought leadership and oversight on complex categories of spend.
- Perform duties associated with category management including but not limited to category definition, market intelligence, and development of supplier roadmaps and negotiation strategies.
- Fosters partnerships with suppliers and critical business stakeholders.
- Escalations pertaining to the facilitation of requirements, and contract drafting and negotiations.
