We are currently looking for an Additive Manufacturing Engineer who loves working in a dynamic environment and is excited to grow with a team around additive and advanced manufacturing technologies. As a materials/manufacturing engineer with Solvus Global you will work with team members from many fields (mechanical, controls, software, etc.) to identify part-production opportunities, define the material and process challenges, develop the process & procedure, validate the process, and ultimately deploy the process into full production.
As an Additive Manufacturing Engineer, you will especially be responsible for all aspects of operating and supporting polymer-based additive manufacturing equipment, identifying key additional technologies to bring in-house, and designing and executing optimization studies for new materials, parts, and processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include communication with team members about project objectives and status, operating additive manufacturing equipment, and analyzing test coupons and components you’ve manufactured.
Required Attributes & Skills
- Must be a US Person according to FAR 22 CFR 120.15 (US Person).
- Strong experience in polymer-based additive manufacturing processes
- Strong materials background in polymers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Background in materials analysis & mechanical testing
- Experience with CAD
- Ability to work in a team
- Desire to develop new skills on the job
Advantageous Attributes & Skills
- Equipment inspection experience
- Experience working with customers and on custom projects
- US Person and ability to work on export-controlled projects
