We are looking for a full-time Automation Engineer who loves working in a dynamic environment and is driven to learn and grow. As an automation engineer with Solvus Global you will lead team members from many fields (materials, controls, software, etc.) to integrate critical systems surrounding material processing, handling, and additive processes such as Friction Stir AM, Wire Arc AM, and Cold Spray AM. 

As an automation engineer on this team, you will especially be responsible for supporting rapid innovation in system integrations and testing. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include circuit design, assembly, and testing; design and fabrication of automation systems; and optimization of machinery for production quality, efficiency, and safety.

Required Attributes & Skills

• Must be a US Person according to FAR22 CFR 120.15 -US Person
• PLC programming experience
• Electronics panel design and fabrication experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Automation, Electrical, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering
• An eagerness to learn and expand knowledge base
• Ability to take and give direction well
• Desire to work in a team-based environment

Advantageous Attributes & Skills

• Advanced Degree in Automation, Industrial, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering
• Industrial robotics programming experience
• Experience in additive manufacturing
• Integrated circuit design, PCB design, sensor integration
• Excellent communication skills
• Desire to develop new skills on the job
