Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Claims Specialist to join our team.
Responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the claims department by reviewing claim submissions, verifying information, resolving basic inquiries, and coordinating communication between adjusters and other relevant parties to ensure claims are processed smoothly and efficiently according to the company guidelines. Works closely with MSR team as the first point of contact with calls that need to be escalated. Research and analyze the issue and either work with the processor to get the claim paid or help resolve the issue.
Responsible for Stoploss reporting, Appeal monitoring and tracking, Subrogation, other reporting as needed by Plan Administrator.
Works with Plan Administrator to distribute any plan changes to the staff and update the plan documents and Benefit Plan Descriptions.
Other projects as directed by Claims Director and Plan Administrator.
Qualifications
Taft Hartley Trust Fund Experience a PLUS!
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HCPCS, ICD-9 coding systems, and insurance verification processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using computer systems for documentation and claims processing.
