Position Overview

As a CAM Operator, you will play a key role in transforming customer-supplied data into manufacturing-ready programs and tools. Your technical skills, attention to detail, and dedication to quality will directly impact our ability to deliver top-tier PCBs. You will work closely with the engineering team to maintain a seamless workflow and ensure high standards in PCB manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Front-End Engineering department and other teams to ensure smooth operations and meet customer requirements
  • Create, modify, and output manufacturing tools, programs, and documentation based on engineering specifications
  • Edit customer-supplied CAD data according to engineering guidelines
  • Implement changes based on Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Develop rout, tooling, and fabrication programs from blueprint dimensions
  • Verify rout and drill programs to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
  • Design custom tools to enhance production yields and address defects
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to further your skills
  • Conduct design rule checks (DRC) using CAM tools
  • Run DRC checks to identify discrepancies between customer specifications and PCB designs
  • Report and communicate discrepancies to the Planning Department
  • Modify PCB designs (e.g., line widths, pad sizes) to comply with engineering standards
  • Generate computer files for panelizing data, including drill/rout files
  • Create array drawings for PCB layout completion
  • Complete all Design for Manufacturing (DFM) documentation accurately
  • Resolve design issues promptly and ensure accuracy in documentation
  • Collaborate with process engineering, planning, sales teams, and customers on specifications
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Problem-solving skills to resolve design and manufacturing issues
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or PCB design experience is a plus
  • 0-2 years of experience
