Position Description:
The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, continuous improvement, and compliance with customer requirements. This position involves mastering manufacturing processes, implementing quality assurance methods, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to uphold industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement methods for testing and inspecting product quality.
- Review manufacturing documentation to confirm it includes the criteria necessary for effective inspection and testing.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
- Utilize statistical methods and statistical process control to support structured problem-solving teams and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and execute quality reporting measures to analyze and enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Review customer and product specifications and create inspection plans to ensure all requirements are met.
- Support Non-Conformance Material Report (NCMR) failure analysis and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist with prototype and new process development to meet customer and industry standards.
- Participate in and lead internal and supplier quality system audits, ensuring adherence to AS9100 standards and company policies.
- Interface with supplier quality representatives to resolve quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Actively support supplier corrective action activities, including site visits.
- Participate in customer surveys, audits, and source inspections as required.
- Conduct IPC 600 training for staff, maintaining certifications as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and programs regarding safety, security, and ISO standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and competence in performing root cause analysis.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of statistical theory, statistical process control, and inspection control methods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of quality systems, policies, and procedures, with the ability to interpret and meet customer requirements.
- Proficiency in AS9100 standards and quality management systems.
- Willingness to travel to supplier and customer locations as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee status required.
Physical Demands:
- Regular use of hands for handling objects and tools, including computer input devices.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to focus on detailed tasks and maintain visual accuracy for close and distance work.
- Must be present onsite to perform duties effectively.

Salary : $66,560 - $95,000
