Somar North America Corporation (SNA) is a subsidiary of Somar Corporation headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, and has been conducting business in the US since 2017.

We manufacture chemical materials, such as epoxy compounds, for a variety of motor applications as well as electronic components.

We serve a variety of industries including automotive, and are expanding our capabilities to meet the great demand for EV-related supplies.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is committed to our company’s goals and eager to learn. You will be responsible for meeting quality standards and deadlines for products as well as manufacturing, packaging, and inspecting them.

Primary Activities include, but are not limited to:

· Preparing, making, and packaging supplies.

· Keeping up a steady and productive pace, according to our order volume, shipping schedule, and other factors.

· Make sure that the number of products you're making is accurate and professionally packaged.

· Monitoring inventory for product ingredients to alert procurement to place orders.

· Checking quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for product development.

· Maintaining a clean and orderly production station and adhering to health and safety standards required.

· Replenishing packaging materials from nearby warehouses.

· Willing to help other employees when needed.

· Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent Teamwork skills/ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
• Understanding of Manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Strong computer skills that include Microsoft Office with proficiency in basic Excel, and the ability to adapt and utilize other programs.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure without supervision.
• Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the teams when short-handed.
• Willingness to run production on weekends when needed.
• Ability to come to work on time.
• Must be able to bend, crouch, and lift a 60lb bag and/or pail.
• Forklift experience is required.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School degree or equivalent (required) with 2 years of experience.
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
