Somar North America Corporation (SNA) is a subsidiary of Somar Corporation headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, and has been conducting business in the US since 2017.
We manufacture chemical materials, such as epoxy compounds, for a variety of motor applications as well as electronic components.
We serve a variety of industries including automotive, and are expanding our capabilities to meet the great demand for EV-related supplies.
Position Summary:
You will be responsible for coordinating and providing direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position is also responsible for managing production personnel, and executing production and shipment to the fulfillment center.
Primary Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Sets a leading example by supporting and adhering to all safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensures Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift/work orders.
- Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained.
- Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts, inspection results, etc.
- Must be able to direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals.
- Monitor levels of manufacturing inputs such as supplies and order raw materials as needed.
- Facilitate leadership, coaching, and training efforts with employees to ensure goals are met.
- Partner with various departments to execute department orders and goals are met.
- Organize production space and ensure cleaning and other maintenance activities are completed to keep the facility a clean and hygienic environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 1 years OR High School degree with 4 years of experience.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or a related field.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Ability to coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff.
- Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent Teamwork skills/ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong understanding in safety and manufacturing processes.
