Somerby Golf Club, one of the premier golf clubs in Minnesota, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team. The Lead Bartender will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional bar service while fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Compensation: $15- 17 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Greet and engage with members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and introduce new drink ideas to enhance the club’s beverage offerings.
- Supervise and support bartending staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Train new bartenders and servers on bar operations and service standards.
- Oversee E-Tab and Pull Tab sales in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and inventory management.
- Close the bar a minimum of three nights per week, ensuring proper end-of-shift procedures are followed
- Process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments, and reconcile daily sales.
- Collaborate with management to plan and execute bar-related promotions and events.
- Keep members informed about upcoming events and specials.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale environment.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs.
- Must pass a substance screening before employment.
