Swim Team Coach (Seasonal)

Key Responsibilities of the Swim Team Coach:

• Train & guide swimmers to improve their technique, and overall performance in the water.
• Work with individuals and team across various levels to be competitive swimmers.
• Must have knowledge of proficient swimming techniques (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke & butterfly, and competition rules.
• Must be motivational, encourage swimmers to reach their potential, build confidence and stay committed to training.
• Must be observant. Pay attention to details like stroke efficiency, breathing patterns, and body positioning to provide personalized feedback.
• Must be Communicative. Explains drills, strategies, and techniques clearly, adapting their style to different age groups or skill levels.
• Must ensure swimmers understand water safety rules and protocols, especially during training and competitions.
• Must have leadership skills, manages practice schedules, oversees training sessions, and fosters teamwork.
• Works with swimmers at their pace in a fun, safe, relaxing environment, helping them overcome challenges and master skills over time.

Minimum Qualifications for the Swim Team Coach:

• Minimum of two years swim team experience. (swimming and/or coaching)
• CPR, First Aid Certified, Swim Instructor Certified, and Lifeguard Certified preferred.

Additional Compensation:

• $14-16 per hour
• Bonus amount of $3,000: half paid in June and the other half paid in August.
