What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Teacher K-8 position at Somerset Academy Miramar?
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, dedicated to ensuring a positive and productive learning environment while the assigned teacher is absent. The substitute teacher will follow the curriculum and lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to maintain continuity in the classroom. Flexibility is essential, as duties may vary based on the specific needs of the classroom and school. Key responsibilities include
- Implementing lesson plans and achieving lesson goals.
- Assigning and explaining homework to students.
- Supervising students in various areas, including hallways and the cafeteria.
- Adhering to all school regulations and policies.
- Taking attendance and documenting daily notes on student progress.
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Managing daily classroom routines and activities.
- Preparing a detailed report for the regular teacher upon their return.
- Reporting to morning and afternoon post.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
