What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Tech Teacher K-5 Long Term Substitute through Feb. 26th, and anticpated longer position at Somerset Berkley and Somerset Public Schools?
Major Performance Responsibilities:
•Models the uses of technology for student and staff
•Supports the curriculum review process in various subject areas to integrate instructional technology standards which may include attending district curriculum meetings
•Supports district policies and procedures related to the use of technologies and makes recommendations to the IT Director for review as appropriate
•Works with principals and IT Director to serve as the systems manager for the primary software applications used in the district (create student accounts, manage passwords, provide training to teachers, etc.)
•Provide technical support to main office, families, students, teachers
•Remains current in instructional technology integration
•Manages Chromebooks, carts, and technology equipment
•Manages technology equipment and provides support to input Helpdesk tickets
•Communicates with IT director about issues to help troubleshoot
•Works directly with staff members to support the use and integration of technology in the classroom
•Supports teachers to differentiate instruction as they integrate higher level problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills through the use of technology
•Plans, organizes, and presents professional development programs that support instructional technologies to staff members
•Effectively plans instruction and assessment and monitors student’s understanding of the curriculum. Adjusts instruction, materials, or assessments when appropriate
•Promotes and communicates high standards and expectations for student achievement Exercises reflection on teaching and education and embraces the concept of continuous learning
•Promotes appropriate conduct of students using media center facilities
•Helps students to develop habits of independent reference work and to develop skill in the use of reference materials in relation to planned assignments
•Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and Principals
