Daycare Director Job Description
Hours: Full time (Monday-Friday): This will include 1-2 days a week in the office completing scheduling, billing, and administrative oversight, with the remainder of the time spent actively working in the daycare.

Summary: The role will include coordination and general oversight of the Somerset Christian Daycare. The Director will work under the direct supervision of the Administrator of the Somerset Christian School.
Summary of Work Expectations:
- Cooperate with the SCS Administrator to help create and implement a vision and mission for the Daycare. This includes development of educational activities for the students with a focus on Christ centered learning.
- Manage scheduling of staff and students.
- Act as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians of Daycare students.
- Oversee behavior and discipline issues in cooperation with the Administrator.
- Oversee/confirm that adequate cleaning and sanitization practices are being completed to provide a safe environment for the students.
- Oversee training of new employees.
- Must adhere to all state and local regulations.
- Must demonstrate professional and excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with parents, staff, and children.
- Must have strong crisis management abilities and be able to maintain a cool composure in times of crisis.
- Cooperate with the Administrator on personnel issues including periodic staff reviews, hiring, and firing of employees.
- Participate in monthly staff Somerset Alliance Church staff meetings, as needed.
The Daycare is a ministry and related entity of the Somerset Christian School. As such, the Director will work to keep the Administrator informed of the ongoing business of the Daycare. This includes enrollment, ideas for improvements, parents concerns, financial reporting, staffing needs, growth opportunities, etc. The nature of reporting can be coordinated between the Director and Administrator, but should occur at a minimum of once a month.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
