Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, Literacy, and Physical Education.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
- Provide individualized support to students who require additional assistance in their learning journey.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive educational community.
- Maintain classroom discipline while promoting respect and cooperation among students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
- Collaborate with other educators in the administration of school programs and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field; certification in Elementary Education preferred.
- Valid FLDOE teaching certificate
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of literacy education techniques and early childhood education principles.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or private school environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively within the classroom setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
