Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Promote a safe and supportive environment for residents
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed
- Collaborate with case managers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for residents
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their needs are met
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in social work or related field preferred
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR procedures
- Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Skills:
- Lift: Ability to lift and assist with transferring individuals as needed.
