Program Goals : The Somerville Summer Music Camp provides a week of music programming during the summer for string, woodwind and brass players in the Somerville Public Schools.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred
Evidence of five years of successful teaching / summer camp experience
Demonstrated experience as an administrator or supervisor
Responsibilities :
- Supervise music camp staff and all instructional activities
- Supervise the maintenance of attendance of students
- Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary
- Supervise the daily lunch and snack count and maintain supplies and equipment as well as proper distribution.
- Monitor safety and all procedures as they pertain to the complete supervision of all campers and staff
- Supervise office procedures, opening-and closing-day procedures for staff and campers.
- Assess all summer camp activities and provide recommendations for the improvement of future summer programs
- Must be available for Orientation / Professional Development : TBD
