What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24-25 ITINERANT BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) - (PROVISIONAL 11 / 27 / 24-4 / 17 / 2025) position at Somerville School District?
Job Goal : We seek a highly skilled and knowledgeable Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve preschool students, teachers, and families in community-based early education and care programs as part of the Somerville Partnership for Young Children (SPYC).
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavioral Analysis, or a related field. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- BCBA Certification and / or DESE Certification
- At least three years of relevant experience with young children preferred
- Demonstrated ability to form and maintain strong professional relationships with district staff and parents
- A commitment to equity and inclusion and the ability to effectively serve children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to travel regularly within Somerville.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
