What are the responsibilities and job description for the Order Picker position at Something Inked?
Description
Order Pickers will help to move inventory efficiently through the warehouse in an organized manner utilizing barcodes and barcode scanners to pick or add to various shelf locations. Will also participate in inventory management, stock transfers and changes. Produce purchase orders and sales orders if not automatically imported.
Duties:
- Picking-Using various ship requests depending on the client. Requests will be created or imported in our Finale Inventory system.
- Packing-Most requests will be picked in case quantities but there will be some pick and pack requests, stacked on pallets and shrink wrapped and prepped for shipping.
- Quality Assurance-Inspecting product and checking for accuracy and correct labeling.
- Communication- Follow established procedures and communicate clearly with others.
- Record Keeping-Keeping inventory records up to date and perform audits."
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to endure extreme temperatures and lift and move boxes of up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand and be in motion at all times. Flexible enough to walk, twist, bend, stoop, pull, grip and lift merchandise.
- Ability to learn Something Inked products.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
