Position : Research Analyst
Working Hours : Mondays to Fridays, 9 AM- 5 PM Eastern Standard Time
Salary Range : $1,800 - $2500 / month (open to salary negotiation for the right candidate)

About the role :
Research analyst to assist the co-founders in performing fundamental equity research. The role will be focused on financial modeling, investment monitoring, original primary research, and thesis diligence. The analyst will assist in the preparation of investment research materials and case studies, including in-depth fundamental corporate research on companies, industries, or various investment-related themes.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, open-minded, creative, and extremely passionate about learning to invest. This is not a short-term hire-we are looking for someone who can grow with the team for several years.
Duties and responsibilities :
Financial research
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Data gathering and entry for various financial analysis
- Performing valuation analysis
- In-depth fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and various investment-related themes
- Industry analysis and monitoring key market, industry, and competitor trends
- Assist in the preparation of investment research materials and case studies
- Primary and ad hoc research
- Spearhead primary research projects by identifying, engaging, and securing
- relevant experts including public / private suppliers, competitors, distribution partners, customers, advisors, and industry consultants
- Assist with the creation of key person maps to identify current and former colleagues, competitors, board members, and other relevant parties
- Comfort cold calling and email outreach to source relevant experts
- Assist with monitoring industry events, relevant news, and data sets for tracking of investments
- Assist with the submission of FOIA requests
- Assist with running and maintaining idea generation screens, databases, and informational packets
- Miscellaneous research
