SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe handling of incoming and outgoing material. Support the leadership of the personnel assigned to the shipping and receiving dock, which includes training, direction of task, safety, and kaizen opportunities. Works close with the PC support team, production, quality, and engineering support staff. Needs to understand all facets of the shipping and receiving for accurate and timely customer shipments. Ability to train others to support all activities within the PC area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Complete knowledge of AIM for shipping and receiving needs, along with the ability to train others.
Understanding of AIM Mobility and the use of scanners and tablets
Ability to build a production schedule through AIM for all production lines in the facility.
Ability to produce a schedule for outside suppliers to support production needs (i.e. Plating and Warehouse needs). Coordination of all activities in and out of the warehouse including trucks in and out.
Provide support to the production control team.
Escalate all behind conditions or manufacturing problems to the proper support staff.
Responsible for the proper ordering of shipping and receiving materials for daily operations (pouches, tape, labels, etc.…) Participate and lead team members during planned material inventories (semi or annual events)
Plan, schedule, and coordinate cycle count activities (weekly, monthly, annual) Daily perform AIM activities to resolve inventory deficiencies.
Ability to perform administrative duties for shipping and receiving of customer shipments (Toyota, Honda, Dampers, etc.) Print all customer orders and labels.
Maintain and provide a safe work environment by enforcing the company 5S standards.
Report any emergencies or unsafe conditions immediately and be prepared to lead an evacuation if necessary. Monitor the ergonomic movements of team members and propose improvements when necessary.
Notifies Production Supervisor and Quality of any suspect material and helps to contain material line side.
Effectively oversee and coordinate all activities related to the safe, damage free, accurate handling and storage of inbound and outbound materials.
Perform proper containment of non-conforming material. Train personnel to stage and verify outgoing shipping orders.
Responsible for reporting customer shipping paperwork to PC Supervisor Support 5’s in the facility.
Support staging and verification activities as needed. Coach team members on job performance issues.
Ability to stage and verify customer shipments. Manage daily activities in an external warehouse

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads PC Team members. Ensure the success of all Team members by supporting and monitoring for standardized work. Responsibilities include training employees; and in conjunction with the Shipping Supervisor, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate in business management preferred or a background in PC or Manufacturing Minimum High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
Preferred candidate has experience with AIM or similar software for customer and material scheduling. Also familiar with material process, equipment processes and inventory layout.
Ability to lead others is a plus.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of all basic software a must (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge in an MES system a plus (AIM, SAP, PLEX, etc.)
Knowledge in Data Analysis a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Good communication skills for both internal and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
