The Sales Manager at Sommer’s Automotive is responsible for leading a dynamic team of sales professionals to achieve company sales goals, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain high levels of profitability at both Sommer’s GMC Buick and Sommer’s Subaru. This role requires a results-driven leader who excels in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, while ensuring exceptional standards of customer service and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the sales team, including sales consultants and department staff, to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the customer experience and work closely with the team to maintain and improve customer satisfaction and retention. Responsible for ensuring customer follow-up and maintaining CRM processes.
- Financial Performance: Monitor and control the sales budget, set pricing strategies, and ensure the dealership meets profitability targets.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and support to sales team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with management to ensure the inventory meets customer demand, while maintaining profitability. Manage the ordering and stocking processes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management. Utilize data to adjust sales strategies and improve performance.
- Market Trends: Stay updated on industry trends, local competition, and product knowledge, ensuring the team is always aware of the latest market developments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, service, and finance, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager (domestics, imports, or used) or similar role within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated CRM mastery with a primary emphasis on customer follow-up and CRM processes.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, trends, and customer expectations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
- Exceptional sales acumen with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
- Proficient sales tracking tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of vehicle inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Strong understanding of the latest industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
