Position Summary
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you would be responsible for ensuring that the products meet the required standards. You would be responsible for examining shipments of inventory and raw goods, measuring the specifications of random items in each production run, and training team members to refine production quality. You would also be responsible for inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
Minimum Requirements
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assists in tasks and duties related to quality control processes.
- You will be responsible for testing optical components to ensure they meet the prescribed parameters for dimensionality, transmissive properties, and surface defects.
- You will be responsible for analyzing measured results using technological equipment and hand tools such as a vernier caliper and micrometer.
- Ensures products and services meet specifications.
- Understands and ensures contract requirements in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Have a basic understanding of the subject matter and be able to apply it in a work environment.

- 4 week probationary period for each hire to develop necessary skills to be self sufficient
- has full understanding of the work flow process for lapping and polishing
- capable of handling glass w/out breakage (loading machine, unloading machine, cleaning procedures)
- Demonstrates ability to identify any small defect on glass
- comprehends NCS (Single Wire Saw) functions and cut staging methodologies
- understands basics of MDF400PR-PC & TPM400A configuration (lapping and polishing machines), for machine disassembly, rehabilitation, and reassemble
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- 2 years of experience preferred.
- Familiar with mil-spec scratch dig scale.
- Problem-solving skill
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Decision-making capacity
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- You must have normal visual acuity or correctable vision to normal visual acuity.
- Have the ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
