What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Business Development & Sales position at Somos?
Eligibility Requirements
- Our internship program is remote based; however, the intern must be in the United States.
- Must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college or university during the internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above (based on a 4.0 scale)
- Available to work full time (40 hours/week) for the entire program (June 9th - August 29th).
- Required to undergo a pre-employment background check.
Working closely with the department, the Intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Research and identify target prospects for Somos Commercial Products (using various tools: Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, etc).
- Manage and coordinate outbound communications to prospects.
- Qualify prospects through preset criteria.
- Manage and direct responses to appropriate sales team for further qualification.
- Audit records, update dashboards and reports in Salesforce.com for pipeline tracking and sales reporting
Major Initiatives
- Lead Generation for Somos Commercial Products
- Market validation research for potential opportunities
- Audit, maintain and create customer reports in CRM (Salesforce)
- Intern capstone project
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects.
- Team oriented attitude that no job is too big or too small.
- Demonstrated experience in working with Salesforce.com.
- Desktop research to qualify prospects that meet target criteria and identify points of contact.
- Copy email for outbound communications.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills (if any)
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce)
- Experience with lead generation web services (e.g. Zoom Info)
