The Ceded Reinsurance Solutions Team is the Change Management function within the Ceded Reinsurance department. Our role within the team is to support the growth and business objectives of the Ceded Reinsurance Team but also support corporate initiatives. As such, the Solutions Team is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Business User Administrator and Analyst. This role will be integral to the innovation and future transformation of the team as we seek to develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Ceded Reinsurance Department.

Responsibilities Include
- Business User Administration:
- Provide operational and change management support for reinsurance tools and applications such as the document repository, underwriting application, etc.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to implement updates and enhancements to applications in line with business needs.
- Train and support users in the effective use of applications.
- Serve as point of contact for business users, addressing queries related to system access and troubleshooting.
- Conduct regular system checks to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Engage with IT to resolve application issues and develop enhancements.
- Manage application documentation, including user manuals and procedural materials.
- Administer and maintain user profiles and access permissions to ensure data security and integrity.
- Work with software vendors to manage application support.
- Collaborate with IT, Audit and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with security protocols and corporate standards.
- Business Analysis:
- Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and validation to support system enhancements and process improvements for insurance / reinsurance processes.
- Conduct thorough analyses of business processes to identify areas of improvement and efficiency gains.
- Create process flow diagrams for current state and future state business processes.
- Write and document clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to capture business needs.
- Research and document business issues.
- Partner with stakeholders across business units (ex: finance, accounting, operations, etc.) to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with operational and managerial teams (e.g., facilitate workshops and meetings).
- Maintain a repository of business analysis documentation for future reference.
- Support project managers in the development of project timelines and deliverables.
- Design and implement process controls which meet IAD and SOX control standards.
- Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements.
- Execute QA testing where necessary prior to releasing to UAT, ensuring thorough testing of business applications to meet user requirements.
- Track and document defects, coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.
- Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, gathering feedback and ensuring user acceptance criteria are met.
- Prepare UAT reports and documentation for stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Provide training and support to business users involved in UAT and implementation activities.
- Support corporate projects through test planning and execution.
- Work with IT to coordinate all types of testing activities (Unit, QA, UAT, Production).
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience with business analysis in financial services
- Accounting, insurance, or reinsurance industry experience is preferred.
- Experience supporting and implementing changes across enterprise-wide systems.
- Experience working with IT in a large corporate setting.
- Experience in gathering and documenting requirements and test cases
- Proven experience in user acceptance testing and defect tracking.
- Proven track record in business user administration and application management.
- Experience in creating process flow diagrams for business processes and business requirements documents (BRDs).
- Experience in supporting project managers in developing project timelines.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Able to multi-task across different efforts simultaneously
- Able to work in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with team members, business users and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to performed detailed hands-on analysis.
- Test documentation experience
- Data analysis and reconciliation skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in business requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Understanding that this role is not IT-based but rather business-centric, i.e., sits on the business side, focusing on user administration and business applications, while coordinating with IT and others.
- Must have willingness to commute into a NYC area office.
