As the FP&A Manager, you will have direct financial operations within area of responsibility by ensuring accurate and timely achievement of financial reports, collaborating with key stakeholders on opportunities for continuous improvement and providing strategy and vision around financial planning processes. Additionally, you will assist in the business planning process and develop end-to-end processes for budget delivery.

Our Business, Your Impact, Our Opportunity
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and direct the development of new processes and reports to enhance the overall planning function of the Insurance segment
- Manage the three year business planning process including identifying key initiatives and resource, managing performance targets, and analyzing and interpreting operating results and trend requirements
- Enhance and optimize tools for improved reforecasting of current plans
- Execute financial strategy in the development and maintenance of the financial planning process by regularly analyzing and reviewing financial data, testing financial analysis models and providing senior management with recommended action plans for process improvement
- Facilitate effective decision-making and provide vision for area of responsibility by analyzing financial information, forecasting business, industry and economic conditions and communicating results
- Support the development and presentation to key stakeholders including the board of directors, rating agencies and the investment community
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders by identifying, researching and resolving discrepancies in financial reports, utilizing internal reporting processes and implementing solutions to improve efficiency of financial operations
- Provide executives and business unit leaders with monthly and quarterly performance reports including Broker Production, Line of Business and Segment Profit Analysis, and underwriting metrics
- Create a positive environment by modelling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, and creativity
- Minimum of 5 years relevant Financial Planning & Analysis experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and modeling
- Advanced working knowledge of economic and accounting principles
- Preferred experience in products and concepts relating to the insurance industry
- Technical skillsets in budgeting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner
- Bachelor’s degree with major in quantitative field (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics)
- MBA, Certified Public Accountant, and/or Charter Financial Analyst preferred but not required
