What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage the SAP Basis team in operational and strategic activities.
- Oversee SAP HANA and SAP RISE administration, upgrades, enhancements and defect fixes , ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Administer and maintain SAP environments, including installation, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning in close collaboration with SAP RISE administration teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SAP solutions that enhance business processes and efficiencies.
- Develop and implement SAP system monitoring and optimization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external partners for SAP support and services.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring continuous development and knowledge enhancement.
- Prepare and manage budgets related to SAP infrastructure and resource allocation.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP Basis management with and ideally with SAP HANA and SAP RISE experience as well.
- Proven track record of successful SAP system implementations and migrations.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, database management, and cloud solutions.
- Leadership and team management skills are required in addition to the technical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- SAP certification in HANA and/or SAP RISE is highly desirable.
- Expertise in configuring and managing SAP RISE environments, understanding the nuances of cloud deployment and integration.
- Deep knowledge of SAP Basis administration including system landscapes, transport management, and client management.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues within SAP HANA databases, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Experience in managing SAP landscapes in virtualized and cloud environments, understanding hybrid cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in using SAP Solution Manager for monitoring, change control management, and incident management.
- Strong skills in scripting and automation tools to streamline SAP operations and maintenance activities.
- Experience with SAP security and authorization concepts, ensuring secure access and compliance.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 architecture, enhancing user experience and mobile integration.
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies such as PI/PO and API management.
