The role is responsible for providing underwriting support to our underwriting teams in our North America region, including Canada. The Operations Analyst will be part of a team that handles required renewal policy notices, prepares auto and Worker’s Compensation filings, new system conversions, creates policies and issues policies, along with various other underwriting and operational support activities.

What you’ll be doing:
- Provides technical support to multiple underwriting units including renewal policy notices and policy issuance
- Follow up with agents/brokers obtaining necessary information to complete the underwriting file
- Review, order, and set-up reports needed in the rating and underwriting process
- Create Image Right Files/Folders and file pertinent documents for the underwriting file
- Prepare Workers’ Compensation posting notices and filings
- Generate New Business Policy Number assignments
- Process non-premium endorsements
- Compile data utilizing various sources and tools; investigate data quality issues
- Communicate with underwriting assistants, underwriters, and leadership in a clear and concise manner
- Participate in the creation and development of the team’s workflows and processes
- Train contingent workers, vendors, and underwriting teams on processes
- Provides back-up support to other Operations Analysts within the team
- Gather necessary underwriting information and documentation for state specific and financial audit requests
- Follow best practices and support continuous improvement
- Understand the operational metrics that drive our business and their interactions with other business units/segments
- Other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by Operations management
- Minimum 1 year of Experience in underwriting, or equivalent professional work experience preferred
- Experience with Guidewire and/or other insurance systems a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Image Right
- Exhibit a strong customer service focus and orientation
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Highly organized with ability to handle competing priorities
- Ability to adjust to a changing work environment and look for better ways of working
- Ability to work closely within a team structure
