Our Middle Market Underwriting team offers diverse multi-line capabilities targeted at select industry verticals such as real estate, hospitality, financial institutions, professional services, technology, and manufacturing. What you’ll be doing:

• Drive submission activity and determine risk acceptability through technical expertise in Middle Market P&C Insurance, including Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto, and Umbrella
• Effectively price risk using financial and competitive analysis with various pricing models, such as guaranteed cost, captives, SIRs, and deductibles
• Utilize underwriting tools, disciplines, and strategic knowledge to conduct thorough account reviews, ensure comprehensive file documentation, and alignment with underwriting guidelines
• Prepare and/or analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status, and declinations to drive results within the assigned territory
• Adhere to guidelines and underwriting discipline to minimize exposure and appropriately price risks
• Contribute to competitive intelligence efforts by tracking industry trends, regulations and market knowledge
• Develop and foster strong relationships with brokers, serving as the primary underwriting resource and point of contact
• Participate in broker meetings and attend networking events to drive business growth
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 3 years' underwriting authority and insurance experience in P&C Middle Market
• Proficient in managing, producing, and underwriting accounts of all sizes for large brokerage houses, agents, and specialty retailers
• Proven track record in successfully underwriting, quoting, and binding profitable business
• Skilled at establishing and expanding relationships with agents and brokers on regional and national levels
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail, demonstrating determination and resilience as a collaborative team player
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to influence and drive business growth
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent industry experience
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory for market activities
  
  

Salary Range: $100,000 - $160,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.

The total compensation opportunity for all regular, full-time employees is a combination of base salary and incentives that gets adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.
