Our Middle Market Life Sciences Underwriting team offers diverse multi-line capabilities focused on the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, medical device and contract support service industries. Our team is responsible for the Property and Casualty lines of business inclusive of products and professional liability. We work through a network of retail brokers who share our commitment to long-term partnerships built on a strong service proposition.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Underwrite across various lines, including Property, Auto, General Liability, Products Liability, E&O, Package, Umbrella and Workers’ Compensation
- Assess and prioritize new and renewal submissions to identify profitable opportunities aligned with business and corporate goals
- Analyze and price coverages, structures, and exposures for individual risks
- Utilize data analytics to enhance underwriting efficiency and streamline workflow
- Approve quotes, binders, and invoices, ensuring compliance within authorized limit
- Build strong customer relationships while maintaining a risk-aware and compliance-focused culture, emphasizing proactive monitoring and sound risk decisions
- Ensure underwriting pricing and discipline to achieve profitability goals, adhering to guidelines and managing Profit & Loss for Life Sciences
- Grow the business portfolio by fostering existing relationships and developing new clients and contribute to building a dedicated industry team
- Participate in broker meetings and attend networking events to drive business growth
- Organize production underwriting activities, including travel/marketing and target production plans
- Engage with various organizational levels to drive collaboration, trust, and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to competitive intelligence efforts by tracking industry trends, peer activities, and market knowledge
- 2-3 years of P&C underwriting experience with a strong preference in Life Sciences
- Experience establishing and expanding relationships with insureds, agents, and brokers
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas to influence and grow our business
- Remains composed under pressure with exceptional organizational skills, integrity, and consistent follow-through
- Technical expertise in LS Global Clinical Trials, Products, E&O, and Property within Life Science preferred
- Highly responsive and tactfully assertive while preserving positive relationships even when declining requests
- Undergraduate degree or demonstrable industry experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight travel

Salary : $110,000 - $160,000
