Our seasoned U.S. Excess Casualty – E&S team applies significant expertise and creativity to complete placements. Leveraging our relationships with appointed wholesale brokers, we provide meaningful capacity, a consistent underwriting approach and timely coverage and claims responses.

What you’ll be doing:
- Assist underwriters with quote, binder, endorsement, and policy issuance workflows and data entry into Guidewire Policy Center
- Participate in the creation and development of the team’s underwriting workflows and processes through direction and sharing of best practices
- Provide thorough analysis of submission data and present in a clear format through our provided Underwriting Rating sheet on request
- Work with and follow up with assigned producers for any outstanding information
- Prepare and chase renewal policy information in a timely manner as required
- Code, bill, register, process and distribute insurance binders and polices within processing standards established by management
- Prepare all policies in accordance with final binders inclusive of review by underwriting staff
- Implement and maintain a field service reputation that is recognized as superior in the industry
- To review and analyze facultative reinsurance certificates as determined by management
- The return of call and e-mails promptly and in all cases, within 24 hours of receipt
- Liaise with Operations, Submission Clearance, and Central Underwriting Services department on various activities they assist our team with.
- 3 years as either an Underwriting Assistant or Technical Assistant, preferably within the Excess Casualty E&S space
- Knowledge of the underwriting process and of casualty coverage and required forms/endorsements. Rating skills a plus
- Strong computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to demonstrate planning and organizational skills
