What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sushi Chef / Helper position at Son of a Fish Sushi?
Son of a Fish Sushi, a grab-and-go/take-away sushi shop, is located inside Union Market. We are looking for an experienced full-time sushi helper or chef with knowledge and experience preparing and serving various types of sushi and related items. Opening hours are from 11am to 8pm, so no late nights. 5 days a week including weekends. Must be available to work weekends (Fri-Sun).
Responsibilities to include:
*Preparing sushi to-go and rolling to-order
*Interacting with and serving customers
*Conducting transactions using Square POS
*Supervising and working with another team member responsible for prep & production
*Opening and closing daily tills, including handling cash and deposits
*Working with coworkers to open and/or close shop, including pre-service organization and prep, and end of day cleaning, organizing, and restocking.
*Tracking inventory and communicating product and equipment ordering needs to general manager/head chef
