Role Overview:
As an Automotive Controller, you will be a strategic partner to the dealership General Manager, playing a crucial role in steering financial health and optimizing business performance. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead accounting operations, implement financial controls, and guide office staff to achieve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
- Compliance & Controls: Implement internal controls to maintain compliance with company policies.
- Audit & Analysis: Regularly audit balance sheets, schedules, and financial statements, addressing potential issues proactively.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with operations teams to assist with dealership budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Ensure timely completion of monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and necessary corrections.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Accounting degree or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years leading an automotive dealership accounting team.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of dealership management systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, budgeting, and forecasting abilities.
- Communication & Leadership: Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with proven leadership experience.
- Multitasking Mastery: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
