We Are Looking For
A Pharmacy Benefits Technician who will play a personal role within our community to ensure that our patients receive the medication and care that they need by answering customer service questions and ensuring a high-quality member experience in all interactions. This role will assist members of self-funded clients, complete medication therapy management (MTM) opportunities, and enroll individuals in health management programs.
Sona Benefits is an independent Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) founded and run by a team of Sona Pharmacy pharmacists, technicians, and clinicians. We are working to help employers and their employees save money on prescriptions while improving employee health and employer savings.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and hospitality to members when they call in and assist them in enrollment processes
- Communicate with pharmacies regularly to ensure programs run smoothly
- Work with the patient to determine financial needs and help them understand their options, including copay assistance, manufacturer assistance, etc.
- Help individuals apply and enroll in patient assistance, obtain approval decisions, and communicate with everyone in a timely manner
- Manage and track patient assistance for all members
- Serve as the primary point of contact for MTM services and health risk assessments (HRAs)
- Enroll patients in health management programs, including adherence packaging and health coaching
- Provide vaccinations to patients at offsite clinics
- Ensure customer satisfaction, extraordinary member care, and issue resolution
What will you need to succeed?
- Related experience working in a pharmacy environment
- National Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license is a plus but not required
- Current Immunization Certification or the ability to obtain one
- Strong experience handling member questions with a passion for providing an exceptional customer service experience
- A passion for helping others with an understanding and empathetic spirit while handling sensitive situations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster relationships
- Ability to remain calm while addressing difficult questions
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
