We Are Looking For
Sona Pharmacy has a rare opportunity on our Specialty Pharmacy team for a qualified candidate to work in our closed-door, weekday-only, 9-5 pharmacy environment! Specialty medications can be complex and require close partnerships between prescribers, patients, and the pharmacy. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills and a clear track record for follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the fulfillment process, including processing incoming prescriptions, hand counting, labeling, and bubble packing.
- Make monthly care calls to patients, organize refills, and offer counseling provided by a pharmacist.
- Enter new prescriptions, patient profiles, and verify information.
- Coordinate with provider offices and insurance companies on Prior Authorizations, claim rejections, and providing copay assistance on behalf of mutual patients.
- Communicate with patients regarding health status, medication compliance, and coordination of care.
- Prepare prescriptions for home delivery and shipment according to pack-out guidelines.
- Ensure accurate delivery processing and quality control.
