">Job Description
">We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for racking, preparing, and spraying primers according to instructions given by the Paint Supervisor or under direct supervision by a qualified trainer.
">Responsibilities:
">- Read and understand work order requirements. ">
- Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures. ">
- Rack, prep, turn, and solvent clean production parts prior to organic coatings application. ">
- Shake, mix, and apply all primers according to work order instructions and manufacturers technical data sheet. ">
- Keep Organic Coatings area clean and organized per company 6S requirements. ">
- Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment when necessary. ">
- Be available to work overtime when required, including weekends. ">
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Paint Supervisor or trainer. ">
- Handle and transport hazardous waste in accordance with environmental and safety regulations. ">
- Maintain statistical process control data and use paint thickness measuring equipment. ">
- Meet production and quality requirements. ">
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement projects. ">
Requirements
">The successful candidate must have:
">- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. ">
- Average reading skills with capability of comprehending and retaining information. ">
- Previous experience in spray painting is desired; one to two years' paint experience preferred. ">
- A positive team-player attitude. ">
- A demonstrated strong work ethic. ">
- Dependability. ">
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. ">
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud. ">
- Physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and occasionally lift up to 10-50 pounds. ">
