What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Summer Internship position at Sonalysts, Inc.?
Sonalysts, Inc., is seeking exceptional college students for Information Technology and Cybersecurity Summer paid internship from June-August 2025.
Candidates must be currently in a degree or an accredited non-degree program in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or related fields.
Interns will be expected to work on site in our Waterford, CT Sonalysts office.
Local candidates preferred.
What you will be doing
- This internship will be a split between desktop support and the security operations
- Potential assignments you will work on during the summer will depend on specific intern skills and may include:
- Windows 11 rollout.
- Phishing attempt analysis.
- VPN Client change rollout.
- Security token update rollout.
- Asset and licensing improvements.
- Process testing and improvements.
- Learning IT processes and procedures.
- Learning methods and tools used in security operations center.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to pass the required background check.
- Completion of Sophomore year working towards a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical degree. Or more than 50% of technical courses completed at an adult career school in a related program.
- Candidates must submit a cover letter describing completed or in-progress courses that related to the major they are pursuing. This cover letter should also describe what differentiates the candidate from other applicants.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of Junior year working towards a degree or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related technical degree.
