Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and provide direct patient care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Conduct specimen collection processing and assist with diagnostic tests
- Utilize medical terminology accurately in documentation and communication
- Triage patients based on acuity levels and provide appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with internal medicine specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Utilize Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems for accurate documentation
- Provide behavioral health support and interventions as needed
- Coordinate home community care services for patients requiring ongoing support
- Perform gastric lavage procedures when necessary in emergency situations
- Assist in outpatient procedures and treatments as part of the healthcare team
Requirements
- Valid nursing license and registration as a Registered Nurse
- Proficiency in specimen collection processing techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology for accurate documentation and communication
- Experience in internal medicine and outpatient care settings preferred
- Familiarity with Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Ability to triage patients effectively based on acuity levels
- Strong nursing skills including gastric lavage procedures when required
- Experience in providing behavioral health support is beneficial
- Dedication to delivering high-quality patient care in a compassionate manner
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
