What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Specialist (Recruitment focused) position at Sonatech?
Position summary: The HR Specialist focuses primarily on the full-cycle recruitment process, while assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks and special projects as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Maintain and update job postings on applicant tracking system, different websites and platforms.
- Schedule interviews.
- Coordinate, prepare for, and attend career fairs.
- Maintain and update recruitment records and databases.
- Conduct reference checks and arrange background verifications and drug testing.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires.
Human Resources
- Assist HR Manager with day-to-day HR administrative tasks and special projects as needed (e.g., performance reviews, maintenance of employee records, workers compensation, Lunch & Learns and company events).
- Assist with employee inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either in-house or a staffing agency).
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize.
- Good interpersonal skills, friendly personality.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic HR practices (employment, hiring, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- U.S. Citizenship is required (due to federal government contracting requirements).
- SHRM-CP, PHR or an HR university extension certification is a plus.

Pay range: $31 - $38.00 / hour. Factors considered but not limited to when extending an offer include role, responsibilities, work experience, and education.
