Anyone in this role will work closely with other teams across the organization to document the Sonatus software suite, which has been developed to provide a unique end-to-end solution from the vehicle to the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Create and edit technical documentation for our automotive solution, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and integration guides.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and create content based around it.
- Work with different teams to ensure that documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- Act as a bridge and key liaison between program management, product management, and engineering teams.
- Ensure all documentation created is consistent with company standards and branding.
- Review and edit documentation to maintain our commitment to excellence.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to create and manage documentation for key projects within tight time constraints.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience) in English, Technical communications, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience in technical writing for automotive, IT networking, or enterprise software products; with supporting evidence for exceptional ability in task management, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience writing and editing content for the automotive or software industries.
- A proven track record for creating content to high standards within tight deadlines.
- Understanding of the concepts of structured authoring and content reuse.
- An ability to maintain the highest standards of editorial quality, accuracy, and style.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS), digital publishing tools, and Google Workspace.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automotive in-vehicle networking technologies, including protocols, APIs, and architectures.
- Experience with topic-based writing concepts and markup languages (XML, DITA, etc.)
- A passion for understanding the automotive industry to a deep level.
