The Housekeeper role at SonderBloom encompasses housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities to ensure that we consistently meet quality standards, adhere to safety guidelines, and exceed customer service expectations. This includes tasks such as dust mopping and damp mopping floors, sanitizing bathrooms, and maintaining cleanliness in patient and common areas. In addition, our Housekeepers are responsible for promptly reporting equipment and cleaning product needs as well as any malfunctions to their supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

JOB FUNCTION: Cleaning
As a housekeeper, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of
the facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including the
meticulous cleaning of resident and patient rooms and bathrooms to ensure a comfortable
and sanitized environment. From walls to windows, doors to ceilings, and all fixtures in
between, you'll diligently work to uphold standards of cleanliness. In addition to room
maintenance, you'll handle various areas throughout the facility, from offices to dining
rooms, hallways to closets, leaving no space untouched. Your duties also include trash
collection and disposal, executed with precision and adherence to waste management
guidelines. Furthermore, you'll be responsible for deep cleaning tasks, ensuring the facility consistently meets and exceeds high-quality standards in a regulated environment. Your dedication to cleanliness and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the wellbeing and satisfaction of residents and staff alike.

JOB FUNCTION: Safety and Other

• The Housekeeper reports structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctions to their supervisor. They also report supply and equipment needs for replenishing. They are responsible for maintaining the equipment used in performing their duties and may relieve laundry personnel as needed. The Housekeeper must follow sanitation and safety standards, interact appropriately with residents and client staff, and respond to the paging system in a timely manner. They also follow infection control and universal precaution policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be punctual and able to read, write, and speak English effectively.

• The Laundry Aide

, who plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our
laundry facility. Responsibilities include collecting and sorting soiled linen, operating
washing, and drying machines, folding and bundling clean linens, and maintaining a clean
and sanitary work area. To ensure that we meet quality, safety, and customer service
expectations, our Laundry Aides strictly adhere to established guidelines and standards.
Furthermore, they are responsible for delivering personal clothing to residents and
promptly reporting any equipment or product needs or malfunctions to their supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
JOB FUNCTION: Soiled Linen & Personal Clothing

• Sorts soiled linen following infection control procedures, which may involve bending
• to retrieve items from the floor.
• Lifts 30 to 40 lb bags of wet, soiled linen from soiled linen barrels, adhering to infection control requirements.

JOB FUNCTION: Washing Linen & Personal Clothing

• Transports sorted, soiled linen to the washer and loads the washer a minimum of 15-20 times per day, following infection control procedures.

JOB FUNCTION: Drying Linen & Personal Clothing

• untangles loads of linen before loading clean, dry linen into a laundry cart.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Clean Linens & Personal Clothing and delivers them, along with personal clothing, to units/rooms.
• Operates machines, keeps track of the cycle/stage, and disinfects the mouth of the
• Transports wet, clean linen from the washer and loads it into the dryer a minimum of
• Operates machines, sets the proper temperature and drying cycle times, and
• Counts and records the linen processed each day.
• Folds and bundles clean linens according to standards.
• Lifts bundles of clean linen to a delivery cart a minimum of 40 to 50 times per day
• Cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, work tables, and sorting
• Reports equipment malfunctions in a timely manner and stocks necessary
• Interact appropriately with residents, clients, personnel, and the public.

• Ensures Par Levels are maintained and delivered timely.
• Ensuring accuracy of delivering personal clothing to the residents.
