Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an organized calendar for the clinic.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and other communications in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review to ensure compliance with medical coding standards.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Utilize electronic health record systems (such as Epic) to manage patient information effectively.
- Provide support to medical staff as needed, contributing to a collaborative clinic environment.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing information with clarity and professionalism.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail in documentation review and coding processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems; experience with Epic is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure effective patient service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not required.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and assisting patients' needs.
