Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Group & Corporate Sales Manager located in Baltimore, MD. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for corporate account management, lead generation, sales, customer service, and sales operations on a day-to-day basis.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Manager to oversee and in the daily sales departments of our recently opened downtown Baltimore hotel. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest services. As the Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the hotel run smoothly, from sales, meeting space business, F&B, client / group relations, while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.

You'll be in charge of creating a sales strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits sales tours, and community networking. Our ideal candidate should have at least 1-3 years or more of hotel sales experience ideally selling (Association-Sports-Corporate Markets-Entertainment).

Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain connections with key group and catering accounts in order to expand our hotel market share
- Daily/weekly site tours of hotel rooms, meeting spaces, top features to win group and corporate business
- Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan
- Identify and secure new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities
- Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing
- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar major is desired
- Good organization and time management skills
- Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
- Hotel sales experience
- Opera system experience (not required but highly preferred)
- Various hotel sales software tool knowledge and experience (preferred)
- Association-Local Government-Corporate Market experience (big plus)
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of front desk operations and night audit procedures is preferred.

- Familiarity with resort management practices is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of hotel operations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
