We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Brand Specialist focused on development, support and delivery of programs, communications and tools for Sonesta brands. This role will also focus on developing content and communication calendars for internal partners (e.g. Hotel GMs) and external customers (e.g. brand social channels).
This role will work closely with the associate/brand managers and social marketing team. As a brand specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, training, strategy, and operations teams. You will work closely with our franchise and managed operations teams, marketing, social, design, procurement, and strategy departments.
Your work will support the activation of innovative guest experience programs at hotel and communication of those programs to our guests.
This position is located onsite at our Newton Headquarters (Boston) or Orlando Operations Office (3 days per week and 2 days remote

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders from Marketing, Field Marketing, Operations, Development, Design & Construction, Procurement and Strategy & Innovation teams to support the creation of program standards and SOPs
- Lead organization, creation and deployment of monthly brand communications through our brand pulse newsletter, with different versions for franchised and managed business
- Support creation and gathering of content that is used in lodging development materials, including B2B marketing materials, presentations and social content
- Be point of contact to check and support brand email box, responding to questions from operators, as requested support the QA email box as well
- Support the execution of social calendars across an assigned portfolio of Sonesta’s focused service brand social media accounts, including scheduling monthly content via social media platform, SproutSocial
- Support content creation of brand creative assets and campaigns aimed to drive social engagement and bring assigned brands to life online. Assist with content writing, as requested.
- Be the voice of a portfolio of brand social channels through community engagement and social media networking
- Update brand projects and timelines in project management tools, such as SmartSheets or Asana. Update brand project and partnership statuses in Asana to ensure deadlines and expectations are met. Provides timely updates to key stakeholders and oversees schedules, project updates, and timelines for assigned projects.
- Manages department’s invoice processing and budget sheet via Sonesta’s financial tool; keeps track of vendor payments
- Creates business and brand update presentations for internal corporate, owner and hotel operations audiences
- Collaborates with internal finance and legal stakeholders to execute brand-related contracts that impact assigned brand projects
- To be considered, direct experience in the hotel/hospitality industry, with a brand, franchise or multi-property management company, in a corporate environment, is required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in hospitality marketing or related experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in developing and communicating brand content – to internal audiences, external audiences through social channels, or both
- Experience as a coordinator, specialist, analyst or project manager in channel management and brand communications preferred
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at once, with proven examples and experiences of complex project management efforts
- Proficiency in using Microsoft 365
- Strong relationship development, listening and networking skills
