Our company is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with experience handling all financial aspects of a company. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial records and accounts of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including overseeing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
· Process payroll and ensure accurate deductions, withholdings, and timely payments to employees.
· Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including reconciling all accounts and preparing journal entries.
· Monitor and analyze budgets and financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP.
· Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial reports as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
· Strong QuickBooks experience.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of payroll processing and tax laws is a plus.
