A growing Restaurant Management company near Princeton, NJ, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. As our Accounting Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our financial health and driving our continued success.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the Charge: Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, from daily transactions to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes. You'll be the conductor of the financial symphony!
- Master of the Numbers: Prepare and analyze accurate financial reports, providing key insights to management that will help shape strategic decisions. Your analytical prowess will be essential to understanding the financial performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Restaurant 365 Guru: Utilize your expertise in Restaurant 365 (R365) to streamline operations and maximize efficiency. You'll be the go-to expert for all things R365!
- Team Player & Communicator: Collaborate closely with Restaurant Managers, guiding them in financial best practices and ensuring accurate reporting. Your ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial personnel will be key.
- Process Improvement Champion: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. We're looking for someone who's always seeking ways to make things better!
- Compliance Guardian: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and tax requirements. Your attention to detail and knowledge of GAAP will be invaluable.
- Mentor & Develop: Potentially supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment. You'll have the opportunity to share your expertise and develop future leaders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry.
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounting, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
- Hands-on experience with Restaurant 365 (R365) is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Good communication is a must in this role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A passion for food and the restaurant industry is a plus!
Compensation: $90,000-$100,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
