Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collibra Platform Specialist with 5 years of hands-on experience specializing in the Collibra Data Governance platform. This role focuses on administering, optimizing, and automating Collibra's functionalities to support robust data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will also have a foundational understanding of big data platforms like Databricks, proficiency in Python scripting for automation, and familiarity with Linux OS and AWS fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:
Collibra Platform Administration & Optimization:
- Administer and maintain the Collibra Data Governance platform, including user management, role-based access control, and performance optimization.
- Configure and manage Collibra modules such as workflows, data lineage, business glossaries, and data quality tools.
- Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and IT teams to ensure the effective implementation of data governance policies and standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Big Data Platform Support:
- Provide limited support for Databricks, assisting with basic configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Work with data engineers to facilitate data integration, ETL processes, and data flow within Databricks and other big data tools.
Platform Automation:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline data governance processes and platform administration tasks.
- Integrate Collibra with enterprise systems and tools using APIs to enable seamless data flow and process automation.
Server-Side & Cloud Administration:
- Perform basic server-side activities on Linux-based systems, including server configurations, system monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Assist with managing AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 storage, and networking configurations to support data governance and platform efficiency.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with data governance, IT, and data engineering teams to gather feedback, understand requirements, and enhance platform performance and user experience.
- Provide technical support and training to users on the Collibra platform and related tools.
- Stay updated on Collibra updates, emerging big data technologies, automation tools, and cloud services.
- Recommend and implement best practices for data governance, platform management, and process automation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in administering and optimizing the Collibra Data Governance platform.
- Deep understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, and data lineage.
- Foundational experience with big data platforms, particularly Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and API integration.
- Experience with APIs for seamless system integration and process automation.
- Hands-on experience with Linux OS for server-side administration.
- Basic knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and related infrastructure management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced expertise in Collibra workflows, data quality tools, and business glossaries.
- Strong experience with cloud-based big data platforms and AWS service integrations.
- Familiarity with other big data tools and ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
